OVERVIEW

The PONY Baseball program provides flexible rules and incremental levels of competitive play, which are specifically designed for the physical development and safety requirements of each age group. This site section describes our divisions and helps you find the most appropriate division for your child. Recreational baseball is known to have a lower level of competitiveness than traveling baseball. Any players new to the sport that are considering joining a MHPB recreational team should be made aware of the following:

• Pony baseball is very affordable if you are interested in joining the sport.
• Playing time is guaranteed. Every player who registers will play equally regardless of ability.
• No tryouts are necessary to join a team. Players are randomly placed on teams (shetland/pinto). The higher age divisions draft teams based on an division talent evaluation.
• There are minimal practice days and recurring weekly games, making it easier on the family schedule.
